    Conspiring motorcyclists in Dominion Post

They read this thread. It's in Last Word on page B4.

I don't have a scanner and can't be bothered typing it out but it includes "conspiring to distort official accident statistics".

Talking about doctoring and playing with figures ......... one site asks what happened to the missing $150million collected for motorcycle acc levies ........

It is also alleged that the $62M figure by ACC for motorcycles was actually $26Million........... well .............. I was thinking

if Motorcycle regos collected $18 million and car regos subsidised to the tune of $199 mil that totals around $217million

now take the alleged $26 mil motorcycle claims and add the estimated $186mil pushbike claims and you get $212milion

hhhhmmmmmm who appears to be subsidising who in the levies?

    ofishil red herring department

Yes officer I fell off my bicycle at 100km/h uphill wearing full bike gear.... share a doughnut?

I think the Dom post reaction to this thread is ridiculous and lacks an understanding of good humour. People clearly take things waaaay too seriously.

Maybe they should get a life and ride a motorcycle and see how much fun it is.

Awww, its only a small bit.....

never mind here is what was said....
Motorcyclists angry over a proposed 400% increase in ACC levies are conspiring to distort official accident statistics by pinning their injuries on pushbikes. Writing on the online forum Kiwi Biker one self described "Hardcore Biker" urged fellow riders to blame accidents on mountainbiking. "There are going to be those incidents when you will not get away with this, ie when an Ambulance picks you up.
Hope fully ACC and the Government will see a major reduction in minor Motorcycle incidents and a rise in Push bike related accidents. "

Oh well Pedro, you are famous now and have been quoted in a significant newspaper

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Who is the reporter? I might have a word.

"Fairfax conspires to distort social website"

The term Hardcore Biker means a forum member with x posts doesn't it? So they are incorrect in stating the poster is "self styled"

Is the Dom Post a National Newspaper then?

Sounds like an abusive letter to their editor is required.

    Steve
"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

    That was a great talk.
As an ex Londoner I've had many demonstrations (often violent) on my doorstep and the reason (aside from the injustice and arrogance of power) I am participating in this one is because it sets out to be peaceful and law abiding.

From experience this has by far the greatest effect, and the one goverments fear most.
