Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    I like this idea,
Odyssey House did something similar with people with alcohol and drug problems (yeah i know, but could be you or yours at anytime).
    How about something like'
    Picture of a biker.....underneath;
"Joe is heavily involved in drugs, he's an alcohol and drug counselor"
Sharon is involved in criminal activity, she's a policewoman"
Tom is constantly involved in accidents, he's an ambulance driver"
    ETC...

Well I am a old school 3rd generation kiwi biker. My dad was, my grandfather, bless his sole, raced a douglas on the beach in Nelson and my brother also is.

Nick is just trying to play us for fools.

"Bikies"--- nasty smelly fringe of society types or fat balding middle aged IT geeks .

Now what would happen if a protest "parkup" was staged and the bikers concerned were seen as being doctors, nurses fireys, mechanics, shopkeepers etc?
Same as the bikio or the mission bay event.
Getting across the message-"hey we are normal people who choose bikes as a means of transport" AND VOTE
Theres always going to be a few that see bikers as 'Hard arses'.

Last night at the meeting, some of the older National supporters (bless em') got up and left early. Seems they didnt like the tone or direction the meeting was going (fuckin' arsehole bikers) ...anyway, one biker, standing by the outside wall (looked a little rough around the edges) called N Smith a fuckwit after he had finished what he was yelling out. Four oldies got up and left at that stage, one old bloke gave the fingers to the biker dude as he left, right in his face, classic Kodak moment

Your hatred of D Henwood is not irrational. He is a talentless hack.

The only reason why Dai Henwood takes the piss out of bikers is because hes to scared and too short to ride a bike. And his comedy is shit. Who would hire him with eyebrows like that anyways. Guess he got to try something.

I am often referred to amongst people I know (aka joe public) as a "temporary new zealander' - really pisses me off - WHO ISN'T - we all die at some stage - just some of us die actually living our lives. I make a point of reminding each one that if they drive their "safe" car and assume they will make it home safely everytime they are either fucking ignorant or stupid or both. A lot of people die in cars every week.

I usually get the response that they have a 5 star ENCAP rated car yadayadayada bollocks bollocks. I then remind then that at 100kph the airbags, crumple zones and stability control are using them for protection if they hit a bigger vehicle or solid object. I think it is this ignorance and arrogance amongst most car drivers that is the cause of the 'bikie' label.

They see themselves as "safe as houses and in no danger whatsoever" and they see motorcyclists as "you are fucked, you might as well get the casket sized up now". It always comes as a huge suprise when they are involved in a major accident.

I think Joe Public do just write us off as idoits and maybe they need reminding that there are plenty of 'bikies' out there that are normal people who have ridden for years - my father rode for 30+years, I have for 15 - still alive and kicking!

Clearly that was NOT what msstrs was refering to
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

Is it true than NCAP/ANCAP/whatever star ratings are based on like-for-like vehicle size impacts? So in other words, a 5-star small car is only "5-star safe" if it hits a similarly sized vehicle. If it hits a larger vehicle, you're knackered. Maybe not as knackered as a lesser-starred small car. I think people see these star ratings and assume they are therefore just as safe in their small car as a larger one.
