    Crashed my CBF250

well, the title says it all. I went to do some grocery shopping, coming down the hill up to a righthand curve. Suddenly there comes a car racing up the hill on my side of the road. He managed to jank on the steeringwheel to avoid me, but he left me no choice. I had to avoid him and by doing so limiting my choices in either crashing in a parked car or kiss the tarmac.
Not a hard choice.. I went to the ground.

Damn car didn't even slow down.. he just went on.
Damn hit and run.. Went to the police asap to report it. And I will let the insurance know as well. Although I don't think they will pay up. They will probably take every chance to avoid paying.

I've got no witnesses, and the driver is nowhere to be found.

It broke my console with the speedometer etc. Brake pedal is bent, more scratches on the exhaust, I can replace my helmet (which I was planning to, as it's a bit too big, but it would have made a nice backup/pillion helmet) mirrors...

I love riding motorcycles, but this kinda takes the fun out of it. I would rather have me take a bigger beating if that could save my bike a little..

    I always wanted a CBF250 - simply because I'd call it a Can'tBeFucked250

Sorry about the bin. Any bin you walk away from is a good one.

Argh that sucks. You must be well pissed off. Double sucky that the driver didn't stop. Will be interesting to hear what happens with insurance. There must be an insurance company out there somewhere that actually DOES what you pay them to? Don't let it get to you, coulda happened on a pushbike, and in a car you would've probably totalled the parked car or had a head-on with that guy. Glad that YOU are okay.

well.. any injury heals. broken parts, scratches and bent metal and the like cost alot of money and do not heal over time... money is something I don't have unlimited in supply.

dude i feel for your loss regarding ya wheels but you should count yourself lucky to some extent............. not all injurys heal to be as good as they were pre accident........after a knee injury from a crash it took me the best part of twenty years to be able to walk down stairs without a limp if you know what i mean......and as for playin squash or runnin.................forget it.........
the thing to be learnt is always ride with an escape route in mind......

You learn that there are douchebags on internet forums that'll kick you when you're down for a couple of laughs.

You can have many bikes (cash permiting) but you only get one body, you don't want to permanently damage it.
