TV1 refused interview with Nick

Just on the midday news. Lead story on bikers levies. Showed peter? from Ulysees on behive steps saying we been sold out. TV1 tried to get an interview with nick and were refused.
Have asked him to reconsider as they consider the public has a right to know whats going on.

Nope. Our kids have grown up in the "cut and paste" generation and where spelling isn't important because they all have "spellchecker".

A young teacher at school responded to being asked how to spell a word by saying "I don't know, I'm from the spellcheck generation."

And before you complain too loudly about education you should also remember that a certain fastfood company entered the market and trained NZer's to drink out of straws. Something I still refuse to do.

As for ACC it's nice to know they're doing the full consult reading everything we send in and listening to what we say and then realising they haven't convinced us yet and therefore they need to explain again why their proposal is fair. You'd think at some point they engage the brain and listen.

My fear is they're run by Government employees who would go to their death defending an error rather than admit they made errors. They're as bad as 5 year olds.

Keith McFlea should be removed from ACC.

You will find that $430.54 is the rego for this coming year 2009/2010. We have alreadly been done over and getting done over again big time for 2010/2011 year. Wake-up and fight NZ.

Just spoke to the company CFO, just to get his views, feelings etc... When I started asking questions about how this could affect their employees potential hike of 700 bucks per year), he walked away. Hm. Watched it. Good that they made the point about "The Minister promising reductions - these hardly count etc ". makes Nick look like he's going back on a commitment (which in fairness isn't entirely so)

What's with Peter Mac with "*we* had 500 bikers.." . Who had ? Seems I remember that Peter Mac was totally opposed to the BIKEOI and predicted it would be carnage and chaos. Now suddenly it's "*we* had".

I have always thought that when The Chairman starts into the argument rather than the CEO that the fun is about to start.

Go easy Les we know it was your show! But I also refer to all the events I go to as *we had* even the big one I couldn't go on I still refer to as *we went* the reference is more to being a group I think? If he's changing his stance that may be a good thing for the cause overall!

Quite right, water under the bridge. If Ulysses are over the line now , that's what matters.

And if Peter Mac disowns any understanding with Nick, that leave Nick without a sponsor for his "ACC levy rebranded as a safety contribution" idea. (though the idea itself is not entirely without merit)
