Ok, confession time. I saw a black Harley something - its the one with the ultra fat back wheel and the duck bill tail with the integrated led lights following the profile of the tyre. No idea what model but I though it looked pretty sweet - for a cruiser.

It pulled away from the lights when it saw me on my gs500e lone bike but I quickly caught it with a little rpm from the crap parallel twin engine

I started thinking, mmm, that's pretty nice, maybe I would by one one day - but as soon as it went around a corner and I saw the foot pegs waaayy too far forward I came back to reality.

I dunno, depends on your definition - automatic 50cc moped-types that can be ridden on the car licence are definitely weiner-mobiles, but then there are what I consider to be 'proper' scooters (must be manual gear change, and two stroke of decent capacity)...

I have a bit of respect for those that turn up at rallys on a scoot. Kudos for dealing with the wobbly little wheels, top heaviness and idiosyncratic handling that comes from having the engine on the side of the bike... Add a bit of blue smoke and the sound of a stone being shaken inside a can, and I can't help grinning at the fun they seem to have...
