Wanted to test ride: 07+ CBR600RR

Does anyone in the Canterbury region have a 2007 or newer CBR600RR that I could take for a little ride? I've been looking at upgrading to something a bit newer from my 99 ZX-6R and a CBR is on the list to try but neither Casbolts or Hampton Honda have a demonstrator to try. Makes things a bit difficult.

I'm over 25 and have my full licence. I just want to try one out and see what they're like. Can anyone help?

Hmmm...well this has been about as successful as I expected. I'm riding a brand new R6 tomorrow. I was hoping I'd find a CBR to compare.

My g/f has an 08 CBR600 but I'm not sure whether she'll give up the keys to it. If you get stuck let me know.

What is your main use for the bike going to be? Track or road? If it's the former go the R6 or Triumph. Road use go the Honda.

Much more road than track. That's why I'm thinking the Honda

She can come for a ride with me and ride my lard arse 600 while I try the CBR out...(It's ok. I understand)

    oh so you're pointless83

Not sure how your bike hasn't sold yet. It's cheap, low mileage and looks good.

EDIT: If that is you, any chance you could PM me some pictures of where your packrack mounts on too?

Nope that's not me. For a moment there I was wondering what you were smoking but I had a look on trademe and I can see what you're saying. Doesn't bode well for me when it comes time to put my bike on the market. I was going to ask for more than that...

Oh, I was pretty certain that was yours. And no, that's a pretty cheap bike compared to the others on trademe and it isn't selling. Not a good sign

Well I rode the R6. It was wicked cool and looked awesome, but it was a bit too "race position" for the kind of road riding I'd be doing on it (which is kinda what I expected). It was uber fun though!! Still an option on the list. Not crossed off.

SVboy I have ridden a couple of GSX-Rs, not a newish one mind you. They just don't "turn me on"

    Still looking for a CBR
