Oh,and put a tank liner in.

Was that your mangey moggy hanging around the other day ? The one I threw a stone at ? Ruddy little spy, wait till I catch him. Then there will be something recently dead!

On the subject of liners, have you had good experiences of them? I have always found chemical gunks disappointing. Bronze I trust, but it does bugger the paintwork. And it is tedious preparation (being a coward I prefer not to be exploded ).

As someone else mentioned the Por15 is the best tank liner, you can get a kit with chemicals, but I just use Jenolite,a hair dryer to dry the tank and pour in the liner.I bought a 1 litre tin of tank liner 6 yrs ago and have treated several tanks, lined my partwash drum a couple of times and still have some left.I like to repair first with the bronze too, then seal pin holes with the liner - but these days I lean towards just pour it in!

My cat came home the other night putting on more of an act than Sete Gibberingnow...he reckons someone threw a stone at him - you're a marked man....

Smear soap over the hole then slap a patch of bog over it to hold it in place
    Worked on my '56 Mainline!

Not only is brazing up fuel tanks tedious work, it will also ruin his pretty paint work

Blasphemy. Profanity. Obscenity. I'm gonna go off and sulk now and feel sorry for myself.

Someone remind me about people who have real problems.
I DID A TEMORARY REPAIR WITH ARALDITE AND IT WAS STILL OK 5 YEARS LATER, IF THE HOLE IS TO BIG KNEAD IT MIGHT WORK

Thanks. I might give Araldite a try. Silly thing is its a little dead end at the bottom of the tabk which is only there for aesthetic reasons. Thanks for the input.

No No No ,do what the man sez
If you have one pinhole already, the'll be 20 more just waiting to pop through from the inside. The POR15 kit will remove most of the rust, coat and etch the steel with zinc phospate, and the sealer will be absorbed and seal any remaining rust as well as coating the clean steel.
No I don't work for them.

No, I meant araldite as an alternative to brazing. Inside treatment is an option regardless of how I plug this actual hole.

I'm just trying to find out if anyone has had success with these chemical treatments. In the past I've been disappointed with things like RadWeld. But, I dare say those fiendishly clever chemists have improved things nowadays (BTW, very clever people chemists. Good looking too. And very good lovers. Ladies take note.Kind and sensitive also in a very masculine way If you are lucky enough to meet a chemist, be sure to buy him a beer. Or several, Speights is best)
