my theory would have been that a race track is not a public road so you can ride a non-road legal bike. you have to convice the scrutineers that its not going to hurt anyone or hire the venue for a day though. like you cant have glass or mirrors on a bike on trackday.

perhaps test it on a country road or something. im sure a few KB'rs can close a road for 30mins before ppl get suspicios. anyone got a few orange vests?

Btw. im not a qualified sparky but im pretty fucking handy with electronics. Me and mains have an understanding at the moment. also Im really good with problem solving. so If you want a free hand then gimme a bell (or a PM, I dont really want a bell. I mean what would I do with a bell?)
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

SERIOUS SERIOUS , THINK ABOUT IT, THINK OF A BIKE GRIDED UP WITH THE TYRES GETTING , LAST TIME I RACED AT PAEROA I SPENT 20 MINS ON THE DUMMY GRID NO ONE HAD TYRE WARMERS ON SO AT THIS POINT THEY MAY HAVE WELL LEFT TYRE WARMERS AT HOME , SO IF THE TYRE HEATS ITSELF INTERNALLY IT CAN BE LEFT ON THE GRID WITH SAY 2 3MM PLUGS IN THE SIDE OF THEM

What about putting a real grid under the "grid". And passing radio frequency EMR through it. If the RF was collapsed, it should generate a magnetic field in the wires of the tyre. Repeat often (ie pulse the RF), and in theory the tyre should get hot.

No idea whether this would work, just a mindless ramble.

IM SAYING THE ELECTRONICS IN A BIKE CAN BE DELICATE , IF THE RADIO FREQUENCY WOULD UPSET A PACEMAKER IT WOULD UPSET THE BIKE ELECTRONICS

Yeah, I know mate. It was a pisstake. I didn't think about the effect on electronics originally though, so it's a good point.

Now, see if your bike had a good old Lucas K2F magneto, instead of all that fancy electronic stuff , you'd be sweet (another piss take )

My dad used to work in telecommunications and now has his own solar power company .... stupid thing is....I can't believe until recently, that i didn't know that electricity has a radio frequency.... we had to get his old work to approve the solar panels we use for the freq....weird shit man

    Love learning about it tho....

Why has everything always got to be technological and complicated . What's wrong with the good oldfashioned way, setting fire to the tyres. Once you're racing, the slipstream blows out the flames (Or , Slipstream blows out the flames ? ). Didn't you know, that's why the Manx start was invented, cos riders couldn't sit on their bikes waiting for the start, cos of the flames from the burning tyres setting fire to their [ at this point Mr Hitcher is waiting with bated breath] a**es [Mr Hitcher suffers apoplexy not knowing ]

    Mount it on your handlebars?

But hey, what do you need electronic whiz-bangs for - there's been enough hot air spouted in this thread to do the job manually.
