I can't make one bike do everything I want so my list is (and has been for a while):
KTM 300EXC
KTM 690 (with a bigger tank)
Ducati 916 monoposto.
Bugger, I clearly need more money.![]()

Its good to know what you want in a bike, unfortunately nothing else out there for me at the moment![]()
I am looking at gettin a new gsxr1000 after xmas![]()
My Buell. Not outstandingly good at anything - makes a fair show at touring, commuting, all-roads riding and even a bit of stunting. Has excellent comfort for two-up.
Blows at the track and hard core off road, but I don't do that anyway.
V-strom, 955i Tiger, GS Bimmers, Caponord, Several Katooms tick all the boxes with various strong points.
General consensus around the KR office is a DR650 is the optimum bike for 'all' NZ conditions and applications.
KLR 650 is also pretty close for mine.
The wife has told me that after i've finished paying for the bus i can look at a second bike for just me!! woohoo!
I take your point, if you want the ultimate sport bike then you're kinda there aren't you, there are others of course but I think you've pretty much got yourbiking nirvana sewn up. Doesn't hurt to keep an eye on the opposition though.
Cool
That's a great contrast in bikes, I ended up with 3 sport tourers once, not on purpose, different but not by a huge margin, I think we really do need one of each flavour/category eh.
Oh bugger
Haha, trust me any team would want me if they stand to make money out of me but no, I can see why other bikes appeal to other folk but that baby draws me in like spotting a nude woman on the beach amongst a sea of woman in bikinis, I ain't got eyes for nothing else,at the moment it's number one on the lust list.
Do you have a pic of yours Pleeease, I don't get to see many here in forgotten Town,
Oh bugger
