Truimph Rocket or V Rod by HD

So you wake up "Sunday morning check your lotto and discover that you have won 1st prize in the super million lotto. "Bloody hell I think I will go and buy the (your dream bike)" only find out that the shop has had a closing down sale on the Saturday and there are only two bikes left. The Triumph Rocket and the Harley Davidson V Rod. Yep I know it's been a bummer of day but them’s the choices. What do you choose and why.

I'd go for the Rocket, if for no other reason it's the quickest cruiser out there.

Has to be the Rocket . As good as Harley's are in certain area's , when are they going to make a motor that all the bit's are together ?? Eg gearbox/ engine /oil tank & Make some real HP out of a 1450cc motor 110 HP approx ?
My 885 Triple make's that when it's not blown up

I like the V Rod better than the Rocket. The V Rod's design looks more together, where the Rocket is a bunch of compromises to get around the size of that engine.

I had to think about this one. First reaction is go Rocket, luv em. Rockets got the power, presence and looks. But in all seriousness the size and weight of a Rocket commands some rider bulk to handle it. I can see Riders under 80kg, no matter how experienced, getting into trouble when they try and use their 75kg or what ever to panic turn a 320kg mass with way to much momentum and then discovering physics beats their riding skill. So, for me it would be the VRod. Still got awesome looks with enough go to impress.
So I guess you must have won Lotto asking this Q Skyryder? yeah right, we all wish.

V Rod definately, The V Rod is not light but the Rocket is a bus, the V Rod looks far better. The V Rods moter is designed and built by Porsche!!!

I'd pick the Rocket simply because it's British.
The truth be known,I think both are ugly buckets of bolts made up from the left over parts bin.
Hell,it would be a sad day if that's all you had to choose from

Gotta agree. If I won a few million, I'd be bringing one in from overseas. I'd prefer the Vrod, just on looks, and I got to agree that the Rocket looks like a bus. When you parked it up, it'd go right through soft tarmac wouldnt it?

Then again, with a few million in your pocket, just buy both and settle the arguement that way

Maybe they'd have a naughty in the garage and the Rocket would give birth to something decent

    So was the Lada Samara.

I'd go for the Rocket,it's a Triumph, with a BSA name. It's a fresh design,an inline longitudinal triple - I don't think that's ever been done before,it's big,it's the biggest - a really bold 'beat this you fuckers' to the rest of the them.I give Triumph a big thumbs up for doing it,and if I had the money I'd give them some money and take a bike away.

Because it looks like the arse end of an elephant?

I'm not much for cruisers in general or Harleys in particular. But out of the two, the V-Rod is elegant and well-designed.
Look, it's an itsy bitsy Bandit.

V-Rod, but I'd rather have a Street Rod
