Sigh. Sure signs that a biker is getting old

    1. When you ride straight ahead past the motorway onramp, so you can check out if there is a Police check point on it. As opposed to blasting past on the left hand shoulder at full gauntlet, figuring that by the time they get their cars started and in pursuit you'll be off at the next off ramp and lost in the suburbs
2, Whilst doing a U turn to get back to the on ramp (clear of check points), riding past a house where there is *obviously* a party building up, and one where certain scheduled substances will be in ready supply, without even *trying* to gatecrash
    3. Even though it's a good bet that a simple "Rebekah said to come round" would get you in.
    4. Justifying the above to yourself on the basis that even if tested you would probably be under the limit.
    5. Knowing what the limit is.
    6. Not having anywhere else to go go to tonight except home.

Sad. Very sad. Ichabod , the glory is departed.

The advantages of having a good pub within 5 minutes walk. Go early, drink hard, stagger home and get a nights sleep to enjoy the next day. And knowing that when you get home, there's only the cat there to greet you...mind you, that's a definite plus sometimes...depending on the state you arrive in...
