Calling all R1100GS experts in Wellington

Any R1100gs Guru's out there prepared to offer some help to a New GS Owner?

I'm needing to do some maintenance including throttlebody synching and valve clearance checks on my 95 R1100GS.

While I'd like to do this un assisted (even have the Haines manual) I do have a rather unfortunate history of making every mistake possible when working on my bikes. I'd rather not put my loverly GS through that kind of trauma..

I'm happy to exchange your time for some beer tokens

Benjah - firstly congratulations on acquiring one of Bavaria's best - it's been an interesting road getting here by the looks - DR250, Strom, Super Tenere and now Nivarnah unless I'm mistaken

As Nordie Boy would say 'paging boGSers' - if he fails to respond then go to UKGsers and or GSpot over at ADV where some of the more technically proficient than me will offer practical advice. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat about this - have you considered the BMWOR NZ site the marque's club site in NZ where again someone like boGSers or Kokopelli may well offer practical advice.

    Cheers Aslan

Thought I'd let you all know that I've now balanced the throttle bodies using a home made manometer, changed to the correct fueling map and even rigged up a light bar with some driving lights on it. The valves I had done at motorrad..

Next up will be fitting the new Yss rear suspension I've ordered. That should be fun.

    Cheers!

Good to hear from a fellow r1100gs rider. Out of curiosity, what kind of fuel range are you getting on it?

    Cheers

Bugger all but I think the throttle hand and the inner child may have an influence on that.
