Hmm. Seems like my 11ish km/l is pretty bad thenThat's mostly commuting, not thrashing it.
ISO you say? I'm sure SI says to use a small l (I always make it loopy when I handwrite it to try and avoid confusion)
Wikipedia says L under SI; then under litre, it points out that a litre is not an SI unit (but accepted for use with SI) and that both upper and lower case are accepted as 'official symbols' - and the cursive l I mentioned above is used in some places, but isn't standardised by anyone.
Well well.

Thats better then my 250 bandit, dont know what it got but my CBR900RR is better then it was and the price of gas has gone up.
After all the mods I've made to my bike....
snorkel removal, smart TRE, TPS adjustment, 2 brothers cans, BMC air filter, TEKA EFI re-map + dyno tune,
I get around 150km per 17 litres, I used to get around 180, but there is a price to be paid for all the extra power it makes and thats at the pump.
It's not the cc difference, but the engine design. ZZR is a ploddy twin, FZR is a performance 4 cyl. World of difference.
That depends on where it's being done...
Most of us recognise that it's a baaaad idea to adhere to 70kph on the open road or motorway.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
I can corroborate that FZRs are guzzlers, I have a '91 FZR250rr and I only get 10km/LI have to start thinking about filling up once I hit 130kms :S
From the sounds of things thats pretty horrendous. Any ideas on what I can do to improve it? Tuning carbs maybe?
if your bike is performing okay, starting alright, and not blowing any untoward smoke leave the damn carbs alone
your high gas usage in my opinion is either because its mostly stop/start short city squirts around the place or you ride the shit out of it everywhere you go (or both)
