I've forgotten the name of a bike route...

I read about in the "Motorcycle Atlas", I think it was. I seem to recall it had a number for a name - maybe? - and was located in the southern eastern quadrant of the Norf Island...I even looked up Google maps at the time to ogle the windy bits etc...and now I can't remember what the %$#@ it was...

So from that pathetic description, can anyone turn my memory back on for me pleeeeezzz?

I tell ya, this frikkin altzhammers shit is the pits mate...

Yeah - bang on guys - thanks. Route 52 it was indeed.

    So.

Where best to start and where best to finish, those in the know?

TBH I am getting sick of local Waikato roads. Feel the need to move eet art a bit IYKWIM.

Thanks for the input, banditrider and that looks like fun.

Google says 21 hours but it's only 1,200km. 21 hours is about my average time for the GC - without being silly.

We did the entire route 52 in the dark and pouring rain a couple of years ago as a part of the GC - it was quite a mission and probably took around 3 hours for the 200km...

Route 52 is a great ride but you will come across stock on the road, debris on the road, road works, gravel, uneven surfaces - and lots of corners. Take care!

    !
I did the GC that year & one thing to remember is when you get to Porangahau turn RIGHT AT THE Y INTERSECTION & GO UP THE HILL to head to Herbertville, quite funny 12 bikers 1.00am in the morning looking for directions when the sign is hiding behind a bush got there in the end, from memory a few guys pulled out after that section.... awesome road though have done it many a time in the daylight
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

+1 Will break out the triple for that if anyone wants to organise a group excursion
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
