A set of Oxford wrap-around grips costs $135.00
Takes about an hour to set up the wiring, you then just put the wrap-arounds on and off as you want.

Both my bikes have a set.

    Sorry Quasi, off topic.....

A bit cold down here now though When the going gets tough, the rest of us prefer the cage........
I have a cage too, but I just get sick of jump-starting it because the battery is flat.

I use my bike waaay too much

Oh the nostalgia - my home stomping ground too; oh for the cold and dry weather - not the humid JAFA shite weather and traffic...

Good luck to the n00b you'll be a seasoned (and cold hardened) pro in no time!

Oh to go for a blatt on the Otago Peninsula...sigh...

(Sorry Quasi - off topic I know )

Hey Quasi, did this mentor thing ever go anywhere? Not meaning just in Dunedin but over the whole of KB?

I've only just noticed thgis thread. I'm happy to mentor any Otago riders although I don't get to Dunedin very often. I was there on Saturday, and briefly saw Viargo and his wife as they tooted their cage horn at me.

So any Dunedin newbies who want advice just PM me and I'll help out where I can.

It ain't exactly a glowing balmy day further north either - or any drier.

It IS almost winter after all.
