And the winner of this years "Omigod" award goes to...

...the bloke on the 50cc Scooter headed home last Thursday along the Northwestern motorway in the centre lane holding up traffic!!

I can understand why he does it. Traffic usually stopped dead from the entry to the motorway on, and you can split just as fast on a scooter as a larger bike, but when you hit a free-flowing part, get to the left lane FFS. mind you, the van and the other 20 or so cars could have gone around you in the outside lane, eh?

To add to the omigod factor, was the dude/dudette wearing protective gear or just normal duds and a helmet?

Obviously total bullshit. Even a sick 50cc scooter wouldn't hold up traffic on the NW m'way at going home time.

Yeah, it suprised me as well that the traffic was flowing smoothly just after the Newton on ramp. We were splitting together up till there, then all of a sudden there was clear road in front of us....buggered if I know why.

Oh, and he was in street duds with a windbreaker on the top.

    Sounds like an interesting guy

If you move left, you're inviting certain death. Insist on your rights and occupy the righthand wheelmark in the left lane. Scooter or not.

stuff like that annoys the crap out of me. I've seen people pull onto the motorway and hold up a free flowing lane, just so they can pull into the stopped right hand lane wtf?!?! People who sit in the middle/right hand lane and not over taking, should be allowed to be forcably shoved off the road.
The other month going down to Quasi's place, fully loaded bike (2 people, tank bag up to my neck and a heavy backpack on the pillion) and came up behind this person going real slow (couldn't see my speedo) in mild traffic, must have been about 70 in a 100 zone. Just wouldn't move over. I put the 'get-the-fuk-out-of-the-way' full beam on, and I get the finger!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrr fukin hate people who sit in the middle. I need a flood light fitted to the front of the bike/car. That'll do it... hmmmmmmm....

Maybe they are moving right because they need to take a right hand exit ?

on a motorway with no right hand exits? The only right exits I know of is either where the freeway splits or SH1 in the city exits, in which case, I know about those, and I let people accross in front if they're wanting to get off. But a stretch where there's little traffic around, and no exits. nope. move over. Trucks going up hills or over the bridge fuk me off too. Race up the hill side by side at their 50kph, and all the traffic behind is just stuck there.. twats.

KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVER TAKING dod gam it

I'm with the juicy one on this. I always pull over, especially if there is some good twisties coming up and I've got the small boy in the car with me. Mum's and Dad's will know why.

Granted. where there is no reason to move right. What annoys me is when you are stuck behind a line of traffic doing about 70 (in 100 zone) as happens. And , relief, a passing lane. Whereupon twit A plods up the left lane at his 70kph. Twit B behind him moves to the passing lane and proceeds to pass at a breathtaking 75kph, followed by C. And by now the passing lane is over and I'm stuck behind twit A still doing 70. Grrrrrrr

Just to clarify, he was in the middle lane of a 3 lane motorway, doing 65-70km/h, and I meant for him to move into the leftmost lane (keeping to the RH wheelmark of course).
