I think I'll turn the bike over a bit, and maybe ride round the neighborhood.

Ahhh, I've seen it before...the crazy frog addiction, careful there Bruce he'll love you and leave you. Just throwing myself in here to help raise some interest, always a good time to be had with Bruce and his crew. After this week anytime is good for me, would be great to catch up with some more riders.

good to see theres heaps of bikers keen on rides around the waikato!! i would join in but my bike is in race trim but, i can suggest a good ride.
will be a couple of hours but its a good ride that covers all types of riding. go around mt maungatautari from cambridge and out to arapuni and back towards kihikihi. its a complete circle from Te awamutu its a little more than 100km round trip.
i will keep an eye out and hopefully join in at the end of the year!
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

Howzit guys? Cool to see a few more Hamiltron-region bods on the site, I havent visited for awhile, last time I looked there weren't this many I'm sure. I'm definately keen for a hook-up sometime. Suprised I havent see you on the Maungatautari loop JohnBoy coz I tend to get round it most weeks.

I'm sure we've all got loads of favourite loops, but I'll throw in a couple of mine I tend to ride regularly on long lunch-hours or weekends to get away from the 4-wheelers...

    1. Hamilton - Scotchmans Valley - Morrinsville - Mangateparu - Gordonton - Hamilton (reasonably open most of the way, but interesting, not too much traffic)

    2. Hamilton - Pirongia - Tihiroa - Te Kawa - Waikeria - Wharepapa - Kihikihi - Hamilton (fast-ish route, more open, good condition, not much traffic, but more law presence)

    3. Hamilton - Kaipaki - Leamington - Maungatautari - Arapuni - then down old Taupo rd as far as you have time and back again (tight around Maungatautari, excellent tho, and old Taupo Rd rocks)

    4. The Te Miro loop Rd via Karapiro or Fencourt (slower route, no traffic, very twisty and narrow in parts, need to ride it a few times to get your head around it before doing anything silly :-)
