Yeah I tested that. When I do that I can hear the little click that indicates the fan should be running and the fan will run if I give it a spin with my finger but won't stay spinning.
Someone suggested that I get some sewing machine oil onto it and see if that will help the thing. I haven't tried that yet but it's on my list of things to do.
Woo hoo, Lees Valley.... the river in the middle climbed from about 4 cubic meters / second flow rate to 200 today.
I don't suppose anyone went and got a photo?
No I wasn't there, I'm sitting in a rather leaky factory dreaming.

Don't say that. I'm still hoping to climb Tapuae-O-Uenuku in the Kaikouras this weekend, which is supposed to involve around 80 crossings of the Hodder River. Fingers crossed it hasn't leapt up like the Okuku.

....saw a bloke on a GS550, I think it was, it was just about submerged riding up the middle of SH75 this arvo...the road had been closed a while, due to being under about 600mm of water...there were rapids on our intersection with it, no shit...wheelie bins and firewood and rims and tyres scooting the other way at a fair clip....i was very impressed with his wish to get home..
I was up there sunday and it was not possible to cross, bumped into the farmer who drove me off the road last time I was there,.turns out not a bad bugger.....

Anyone feel like a early/mid week ride?
I'm especially talking to the uni students on holiday. Stuffs a little slow right now and I've got an untested, uber modified F650 dakar thats hanging out to be flogged.
Excellent. Time to make new stuff dirty.
How does Wednesday sound then?
wednesday sounds great Okukukukuku should be back down by then so that is an option but been up their a bit lately so your call, keen for anything
Sounds as good a ride as any. I'm still new to Christchurch so any ride is new and shiney to me.
Ok so there is a ride happening on Wednesday morning at 10am through Lees Valley ( i think..) Meeting place to be advised.
All are welcome.
