When you know you haven't done anything and feel you are being baited, you can understand why some people get pissed off, say 'Fuck you' and become antagonistic.
I was coming down Alexandra st here in Te A one evening, saw a checkpoint further along the street. Turned left into my driveway and next thing, two cars pulled up behind me, lights flashing. They were only doing their job, but their whole attitude wound me up.
We had quite a slanging match. In the end, he couldn't really do anything, and no, I hadn't been drinking. I'ill be buggared if I have to ask before turning into my own home if I'm not being chased.

Maybe you could have diffused the situation with humour? It was an obvious reaction to an oncoming vehicle turning off like that. I'd have cracked up laughing at them and politely explaining where I was.

I would have done if the idiot had not have come out with a smartarse comment to start with. I'm late fifties and a staunch advocate of law and order. This cop still had his mothers milk running down his chin. Anyway, history now.

hmm...i though it was just me who had luck for asshole cops, i was starting to think it might be me always failing the "test"....but have been show otherwise yet again., sucks to see that more law abiding people have trouble with the "organisation" that is meant to proct us.

When I was 17 and got mugged/assaulted on the street let me tell you the cops did not give one toss.

I mean the guys who picked me up in their paddy wagon to take a statement were nice enough, but a couple weeks after I went back to the station and there was no record of the event taking place! I had gotten the friends of the muggers phone numbers through my own sloothing and then they couldn't even do anything with the information because they had nothing to match it to.

Fuck those bastards, wonder how many of their statistics are wack because of "oh sorry we lost the case file".

I love how tax payer money funds such a highly developed "professional" department. Vigilante justice shall be the way from now on.

Although now I fear maori youths for a genuine reason... not just for the stereotype... even though the stereotype was right in this situation.

Stereotypes don't just invent them-fucking-selves, you know. Real scum those guys. Had a friend who sustained terrible injuries from random Maori delinquents, real nice guy too.

Doesn't surprise me, my daughter was assaulted in a home invasion cops couldn't be bothered turning up for 12 hours

Then they tried to blame her (suppose she shouldn't have been in bed a 10pm on a Saturday night even though she had work at 4am)
My daughter even had names for them, still couldn't be bothered

We got on better dealing with the parents.

Oh and they didn't get the body kit back that they ripped off going out the track
