How many real bikers out there?

I would like to know how many full time bikers are in NZ. Riders like myself who have never, ever driven a cage and never will. It almost feels like a lifestyle choice in this cage driving world.

So if you have never been behind the wheel of a car and never wish too, let us know by voting option 1.

If you have driven a cage in the past, but currently only ride a bike and never wish to drive a cage again, vote option 2.

If you currently only ride a bike but will buy a cage someday, vote option 3

    Everyone else vote option 4.

    Question

I don't feel that I fall into any of those categories. EVERY time I go to work I use the bike and quite often on my days off, depending on what I am doing. I certainly use a car as well. Is there a category for that?

    What he said.

Cage is necessary when you have to transport old folk, great big hunksa wood and stuff.

I'm looking for riders who have sacrificed everything to ride only bikes.

    Arghhh! I don't fit.
I take the bike unless there's a reason to take the car. (I can just see me trying to stuff 2 weeks groceries up my jacket and into my backpack)

From age 18 to 34, I'd've been able to tick "1".

My boss got downright adamant about me getting a cage licence so I could be exploited further - at my own expense too, I might add. I had to pay my own money to make myself more useful to the company - I already had a perfectly serviceable bike licence which was all I needed. Boss wouldn't accept my stance that if they wanted me to have a car licence, they could pay for it.

Envy you, SM - wish I could get away with not having a car licence but sadly, tis not the case.

As you've deliberately biased the poll, I can't tick "Cars are death-trap coffins on wheels and I hate 'em but I have to use 'em occasionally."
    Motorbike Camping for the win!

Stupid fucking poll. Each mode of transport has a purpose. Just riding m/c limits your ability to carry out other tasks. Those that think m/cs are the be all to end all are tossers IMHO.

Given the choice I'd bike all the frickin time, but often the practical reality doesn't line up with that utopian dream....
