    O Dear!

    My results:

    Harley 883 Sportster

You scored 3 moxie, 4 zeal, and 1 pomp!
You scored dead center average, lacking any of the personality quirks that normally drive people to motorcycling. However, if you do ride, statistics would suggest that you are destined for a Harley-Davidson, probably something in the Softail line.

Arrgh! What a load of crap! I scored a Harley! I reckon the noddy that wrote this gave it out of spite cos' I ticked "Can't stand Harleys" in the last question!

But hey you guys, what did you get in the personality test to get into this site?
I scored "Gentleman" (Deliberate Gentle Love Master)! Could just about forgive them for that!

Thanks TonyB. That was fun. I see the Motorcycle test is way the sites most popular!

You have the traits of a sensible and effective rider, with an utter lack of concern for image, so you should feel comfortable riding a sensible, effective, and hideous bike like the VStrom.
You are the rider most likely to Rhino-Coat your bike for the sake of practicality
    .

... as much as I hate to admit it, probably not far off...

agree the the VStrom is pretty hideous though

well wot can i say to this

    Triumph Speed Triple
You scored 6 moxie, 0 zeal, and -4 pomp!
You, Sir, are a Hooligan. You have a bit of an attitude, and you don't care what people think about it. Your idea of a good time is seeing how far you can carry a wheelie between lanes of traffic. You crash a lot, but that's part of the fun, isn't it? Anyone who doesn't like it can sod off.
Your weapon is the Triumph Speed Triple, a powerful and godawful ugly bike that fits your personality perfectly.

Ok I did the second test (my first was a VSTROM) and lied as much as I could. This is what came up.

    ************************

    Trailered Harley
You scored 3 moxie, -8 zeal, and 10 pomp!
Your bike is a Harley, generally ridden distances ranging from 2-3 miles between bars. You enjoy riding in packs with hundreds of your like-minded friends on charity runs, thundering down the highway in a loud, slow convoy. You faithfully attend Sturgis, Daytona, and Laconia, and have your bike unloaded off a trailer at the edge of town so that nobody sees that you didn't ride in.

Of all the personality types, you are least likely to wave back to a rider on a different brand of motorcycle.

    ************

Try the test a second time and lie as much as you can.

My 2nd effort, stretched the truth this time round. How very cheeky of them!!

    Generic Cruiser
You scored 11 moxie, -4 zeal, and 5 pomp!
You have more balls than brains.

Of all the personality types, you are most likely to lock up your rear brake in a turn and ride straight off the road. For the sake of everyone else's insurance premiums, please lose the attitude, buy a real helmet, and take a goddamn riding class. Your bike is a Harley, or some facsimile thereof.

Hm. I got a Vstrom the first time too. That time I answered as honestly as I could. So I retried it, answering on the basis of the rider I'd LIKE to be rather than the one I fear I am, fibbing as much as necessary

Came of with a Yamaha FJR1300 this time
(looked it up. VERY nice bike. Very nice indeed. Are they available in NZ ?)

Actual scores went from 2 moxie 5 zeal and -4 pomp first time to 4 moxie 9 zeal -1 pomp
What do they mean by moxie and zeal ?

Nice!! I get the Yamaha FJR1300 too, since I scored 3 moxie, 6 zeal, and 0 pomp!

(no pomp?? I usually aim for a bit!!)

    Moxie
The ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage [Nomes' addition] colloquial translation: daring/cheek

    Zeal
Enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal and tireless diligence in its furtherance.

    Ta-dah. Thank heavens for www.dictionary.com

test reckoned I should ride a squid 600. sounds good to me

Apart from the bit about riding around in sneakers and a t-shirt (only done that riding less than 1km to work when I felt lazy!) its mostly right... I have looked for parts on E-bay too!

You scored 8 moxie, 5 zeal, and 1 pomp!
You are a squid. Your bike is a 600cc Japanese Sportbike. Take your pick, it really doesn't matter, since you're going to wad it.
You are the primary source of extra bits of fairing plastic on eBay.

When you're riding in the mountains, you have a hard time keeping up with that Olde Pharte on a Triumph Thruxton without blowing the centerline in the twisties and going WFO on every straight. (You're not a bad rider, but you're just not as good as you think you are.)

On a hot day, you're likely to be seen weaving through highway traffic at warp speed, wearing sneakers and a t-shirt blowing up your back.

The good news for you is that this is a temporary phase in your riding career. You will either (a) buzzsplat or (b) become more acutely conscious of your own mortality after a few minor but eye-openingly lucky crashes.

Take it to the track. You'll live longer.

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 89% on moxie

You scored higher than 37% on zeal

You scored higher than 39% on pomp

You scored 3 moxie, 8 zeal, and 1 pomp!
You have the characteristics of a master street rider. On the way to work, your love for riding sometimes leads you to take the long way. The 50-miles-of-back-roads long way. You live for the perfect road, and plan vacations around riding.
You need a bike that can handle your addiction to the twisties as well as comfortably carry two on a weekend trip through the mountains. Your bike is the FJR1300. Can I borrow it someday?

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 28% on moxie

You scored higher than 94% on zeal

You scored higher than 22% on pomp

seems to be pretty spot on 4 me...except the 50 miles part. was more like 38 premium petrol is just getting rediculous(sp) here
K1 GSEXR 750 im in love....
