As Chic n Charge already said the other day, Best wishes from us here in Picton Dave. I have been away for the weekend but made it back here.

Remember, bike or no bike, you're always welcome to stop in for a coffee again, or a break on your travels.

Friendships are born from common interest. Dave's a keen rider & poster to this forum, and many know of him only from his posts - we will be enriched again by his words I'm sure, once he has recovered.

We all know the risks with motorbikes, the bloody things fall over! Just read the stats on this forum's poll on hte subject, reads like 70% or more of us have done it. Just remember that the only ones who post are the ones that have survived upto that point. Thankfully Dave is a survivor this time, and may he be spared future trauma of this nature. May we all be spared it, but the odds are against us. I'm bloody thankful that my recent off didn't require my mates having to scrape me off the road or ring an ambo or attend my funeral. I still have my bikes and I'll keep riding, just more carefully. But now I've got a safer alternative (a high powered convertible, next best thing to a bike) and hopefully that will increase my chances of living to a ripe old age.

All the best Dave, best wishes and prayers of healing go out to you.

Good Lord. Firstly: my best wishes and healing energies to Dave/SC - whom I have yet to meet - and his family/friends who are supporting him through this. I hope that he comes through this rough patch still keen to ride.

Secondly: VTwin, please please please look after yourself too! You don't have the advantage of morphine or sleeping aids at the moment, so stay healthy (inwardly and outwardly) and don't allow yourself to spiral down anywhere 'kay?!

Thirdly: What a lot of support from KBers, what an amazing family you lot are.

*hugs* (from a stranger - but hell, hugs is hugs!)

We've still got our praying hats on, here. Is there an update on how SC is doing, etc?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

My thoughts are with you Dave, and your family. Best wishes for a full recovery, no matter how long that takes.

See what happens when one misses a day on KB.
My prayers are for you bud. I know the pain. There is a lot of people here to draw strength from for now and later on. I pray that you will have a speedy recovery with little or no physical after effects.
Take your time to get strong again both in mind and body.
I know that it may sound a bit unthoughtful, but later you may want some pixs to add to the story you'll tell the grandkids.
May the blessings of God cover you at this time of recovery.

According to the radio (ZB News), Police would like to speak to a van driver that was turning right into Moonshine Rd.

    More information sought on crash

    27/06/2005 13:04:03

Police are seeking information about a serious motorcycle crash in Upper Hutt on Saturday afternoon.

One man is in intensive care in Wellington Hospital after hitting the Moonshine Bridge on River Road.

Constable Jim Veale says the motorcyclist involved was travelling with three other bikers.

He says police want to hear from the other drivers in the group and the driver of a van, who was seen waiting to turn right into Moonshine Road.
?? Three other bikers ? Thought there was only one.

    Cool

That is fantastic news that Stonechucker is now moving rooms...
He will have more nurses to watch... and be cheeky to...

Now I could always send down the grumpy nurse that I had when I was in hospital... she would keep him in line...lol.

Having just caught up on KB news I'm very shocked/sorry to hear Dave was involved in an accident.

Good to hear he's still with us atleast and I'm sure he's already on the way to a full recovery.

Hope you and the rest of the guys are doing okay!

Visited Dave this morning with his parents and Celtic Sea Lily.
He looks a hell of a lot better than when I saw him last.
Pretty groggy from the pain killers and he kept on falling asleep then wakeing up. He can talk but not very much and did remember me but has no idea what happened.
He asked his Dad which bike it was and grunted when told it was the R1.

Police have impounded the bike pending the investigation.

    IMPORTANT

Does anybody know who rides a Red VTR1000 and a RED, BLUE & WHITE nc style bike.....my memory is a bit vague on these guys as I focused on Dave.
These guys were directly behind me when Dave crashed and the police would like to talk to them as they may be able to shed some light as to what happened.

He might remember in time, if he wants to. Hopefully the other riders come forward tho, and that van driver is found
