Why are they using the fishtail design for the rear part of the fairing rather than the whale tail. I would have thought using a fishtail would have led to instability at high speed. ?

    Just wondering.

Just had the word that they broke the record today. 271kph. Sure that they will keep going for the rest of the week and maybe get another 10 or 20kph out of it.

I'm surprised he likes bread, I thought he'd be a 1/2 kilo of liver type.

Arrg. I hate kilopoofters. Just big numbers to sound impressive. 271 kph = 167mph.

Well alot of people more important than you seem to think its a good idea, seeing as though the meter is the si unit of measurement. Miles are the stupidest measurement unit in the existence. Although if you're stuck in the 80's then I guess thats what happens

Just heard that they won't be making any more attempts at it so let the celebrations begin. NZ has a new world record holder.

    Gotta agree with you K14.
How many metres in a km? 1000
How many mm in a metre? 1000
How many mm in a km? 1,000,000
If 1mm of rain falls on 1,000 square metres, how much water is that? 1m³ or 1,000 litres or 1,000kg or 1 tonne
So, Twoseven, without getting your calculator out or using a bit of paper, can you tell me how many inches there are in a mile? Can you even remember how many feet there are in a mile?
If one inch of rain falls on 1,000 square feet, how many gallons of water is that (imperial), what is it's volume in square feet, and what does it weigh? You can use your calculator for that one
An inch was based on the width of a mans thumb (but which man????), then in the 14th century, King Edward II of England ruled that 1 inch equal 3 grains of barley placed end to end lengthwise. Oh yes, THAT makes soooo much sense....

Well they beat the old record by about 50kmh and althought they didn't get to the speeds they wanted are feeling pretty happy with themselves

Phil said he was going about as fast as he wanted on that road and at around the 220 mh mark hit a bump which put a bit of a wobble on and he tried going faster to ride through it but it kept on wobbling

Perhaps because that was the best shape based on the wind tunnel testing

How many miles in a mile - easy one.

How many miles in 10 miles - easy 10.

How much rain falls in 10 square miles - easy, 10 square miles worth.

How many mm in a meter - who the fook cares, we use feet and inches.

So your kilopoofter measurements are still crap.
