    Caution the back roads

have noticed an increase in patrol cars cruising the back roads in the waikato the last few weeks - especially in the hamilton/cambridge/te awamutu area. they have their radars working too. apparantley. not sure of the reasons, but i've seen one every day this week at some stage between the airport, cambridge, te awamutu and hamilton, no matter which way i have gone.

    Prime hunting?
Open sweeping roads, previously lightly patrolled.

Yep, and the back road from Tokoroa to the Whakamaru Dam and out to SH1 at the Waikato river bridge. No longer a top speed test track for the local bikers

Hmm odd how I just drove out to Putaruru and back and didn't see a single one. Wished I was on my bike.

Bastiges. At least if they have their radars working those with detectors should be OK.

ummmm no. quiet country roads - not much traffic to track so no bouncing beams to pick up, nose to nose with patrol car at 200m, radar detector goes off, it's too late. fuck it.

You reckon it might be something to do with most of these roads being mentioned here.

I was thinking the other day, maybe the police have a few members in KB. If so anything we say on here could incriminate us. Just mentioning a good road with no cops on and if they have the resorces my patrol it a bit more. Could be a little paranoid though, hope i am not! You never know just saying you were blatting along at 250ks the other day and you might get a knock on the door from the boys in blue1

Tis true and they don't exactly hide themselves either. May be wrong but I think the creator of this thread is one of them.

Not to mention the one who lives opposite me who knows where I go to play. He's only a pretend policeman though as he went to school with our eldest son Mind you, I don't go out of my way to provoke him and see where his sympathies really lie.

But you've still got that nice long straight on Tram Rd. And being a private road there are no at all.

    Tram Road

Your memory remains undiminished! I think I'd sooner collect a riding ban than the front end of a logging truck though. Used to use the nearby straight near Dunhams Creek for top speed runs on the 'bird as there was so little traffic but the HWP tend to hang out down there now Will have to move to the Mokai road on the opposite side of the river
