Keep the RF. Stay out of trouble Ie speeding and stuff. If they have no reason to pull you over you will probably get away with it. However I have a mate that was done for caring a passenger on an L plate no L sticker and 19kmh over the speed limit and a worn rear tyre. $1,100.00 fine. Reduced by $150.00 when he replaced the tyre. The other problem is the worry about getting picked up. But if it was me I would carry all the info of your time on a bike and take a chance. Just keep the speed down etc. Good luck.

Keep the RF. Get hold of a 250 somehow and persevere with it until you are legal. Fastracking sounds good (whatever that is).

Whats the problem? Obviously you've been riding the RF for some time, so why change? As long as you sort of obey the main things of the law, you should be right. But whatever you do, don't put the L plate on the RF.

At last. Somebody whose "love handles" are bigger than mine...

Oh yeah. Do the right thing and ride the 250. Do a CBTA and get your full licence ASAP. You can even apply for an exemption to sit the tests on the bike you "normally ride"...

Thank you Daff, Mr Skid, jazbug5 and everyone who helped...
To be honest... I was just taking the piss ( as Ixion suspected) but low and behold... It ended up being a worthy thread.
I spoke to a lady cow at VTNZ and she hadnt heard of of the fast track system... not much help at all, But you guys are... thanks again for the link Daff.

I am keeping the RF, I am not going to stop riding it because I like it...
Some people wanted me to ditch it... can you even picture a guy my sixe on GN250?

If you do need a 250 to sit your licence you can borrow Li'l Ratty. I'm 5'9" and about 110kg and I fit on OK.

Thanks for the offer... But I'll have a bike sorted by the time I need it.
