Putting the Boot in

As a sprot bike rider I have my boots on the outside of my pants .... However, almost every HD type rider I've noticed rides with their leathers pulled down over the top of their boots. (following me here so far?)

When it rains... surely you would get better weather protection by having your boots under your leather pants ... yes?

Do us sprot bike riders have something to learn from our cruiser rider brothers?

Your thoughts?

I wear my boots on the outside of my leathers as theres no way you could do the opposite and don't really get wet in them.

But if it is really raining and and I'm going more than 5 minutes or so out of town I wear wet weather gear over the top of my leathers which go outside my boots and thus staying dry.

So why dont you just wear them on the outside all the time ???

cos the pants are harder to zip the leg bits up, so most of the time I can't be arsed. Plus, have you seen my boots? They're meant to be shown off, not hidden..

It's the times I've seen you with your underpants on the outside that are the problem.

yeah, well sometimes I'm in a rush, and the order of how to do stuff is too complex. Plus, on Wednesdays, it looks cool sometimes..

Rossi follows the ways of the "Cruiser people". As he is god amongst most sports bike people it is your duty to follow him, as a sports bike rider!

Personally though, My leathers doesn't strech that far... I think. Plus, no matter what Rossi does, I reckon it looks dorky! I'd rather show off my riding boots on the outside of my leathers. If it's pissing down hard enough, you'll get wet anyway and if it's not, it shouldn't bother ya.

As discussed before Rossi's sexuality is more than a little questionable.......should we be following his fashion sense lol

You can normally find sprot bikes in gargres and yes you MUST dress like a tube of toothpaste to ride one properly.

I (selfishly) kicked the mirror clean off the side of a Subaru on Saturday doing the Coro' loop. Smashed the fucker real good. Unfortunately, I forgot about the 7 KBers behind me that then had to try overtake the now VERY irate driver.

I wear my trousers over my boots. My boots are plain and black so I am all ready making a statement that I ride for comfort before looks. So I don't have to stop when it begins to rain.

I am out on my bike for a RIDE , you bunch of catwalk bikers.

Can you get spats? I haven't been able to find any. Spats would be excellent.

Don't have any proper bike gear so wet feet in the rain are part and parcel of riding in the rain.

When will bike shops have those "at least 50% off" protection gear sales?
I'll bust the bank to get kitted up but till then, I'll remain riding around in casuals. It's just too expensive, even the budgets and the protection level in budgets isn't any better than what I ride around in with simple casuals.

Have you ckecked AMPS starter kit in "Shop sales".

Definitely avoid wearing anything that is beach wear.

I wear HJC winter/summer gloves, ankle high hiking boots, jeans, thick winter padding jacket and a bright blue wind/rain jacket, plus a mono colour red helmet. That's the best I can do at the moment. Gets very hot at lights in the summer.

Aiming to get dressed up like you other bikers but no money.
