bridges would work, with on and off ramps of course.
Love the way people are over thinking these two simple changes. Just stick with the examples you have been given by NZTA, in all other situations the old right hand rule or controlled intersection rules apply.

OK people going back to that Campbell live situation with the truck, cars & motorbike. I shot an email through to the NZTA asking the legality of it & their response follows

If I understand your scenario correctly the motorcycle in this diagram (attachment) would be the red car and the truck turning right would be the blue car.

In the situation shown (in the attachment) with three cars at a T-intersection, the left-turning (green) car would go first, followed by the right-turning (red) car from the top of the T (the left v right turn rule). Finally the right-turning (blue) car from the bottom of the T could go (uncontrolled T-intersection rule). If there was a line of cars behind the green car all wanting to turn left, then it would be possible for the blue car to go at the same time as the line of left-turning cars. However, whether the blue car could go or not would depend on how many cars are wanting to turn left and how big the gap is between them. It would also be wise for the driver of the blue car to make eye contact with the driver of the red car to be sure that he or she can proceed safely.

Mystery solved! (and the above could be useful if you do try it & a PIG decides he's using you to meet his quota KPI's )

Now this is what should've been mailed to every household prior to the change, actual information on what the new rules are, not some silly scratch test asking which car gives way from 25 march.

Apparently there are no intersections as described:

"6. What happens at crossroads where there are no signs or signals?
Intersections with four or more approaches always have signs on at least two
approaches or are controlled by traffic signals on all approaches. (Note: The only
intersections that can have no signs or signals are T-intersections and in that case
the new T-intersection rule applies.)"

Also, these intersections exist when there are traffic light failures.
