Daily motorbike web fix

Forgot about that one. Was in at cyclespot the other day and commented on the height of the 1200 adventure bike. They told me it's a lot shorter on the seat than you think. So I decided to give it a go and blow me down I could get both feet down on the ground. It would be no higher than a F800ST. No where near the BMW tall. Hopped off... still can't believe it's as low as it is. Still doesn't do it for me just because it's too big to take off road. 7-900 would be good and a lot lighter.

Stock, it's still quite a tall bike, unless they had a low seat option fitted. Then you've got it's sheer size when paddling around, or backing up etc. I'd recommend 6' plus to handle it, factoring in luggage, dodgy terrain etc. That said, if you want... go buy, who cares what anyone else thinks!

I enjoy following others down rougher stuff (not too rough tho, and hopefully no soft sand) and they're amazed the GSA is following hehe. Momentum is your friend, just don't let it bite and seek out a tree/edge of trail etc.

My last adventure bike was the DRZ400 and before that the 250. They get you through places that bigger bikes only dream of. And they get me into places that I struggle for ability. But all part of the fun. A 600 motor with the 400 weight would be good.

Bikexif is one I get daily. One of my favorites is Pipeburn. The other sites mentioned above were revelations to me so thanks for that. I also occasionally check out Barnstormers NZ for a vintage fix, and Greasemonkeys NZ for custom/bobber vibe.
