    Road works on Rimutaka

Yesterday I went to Greytown and noticed big LED panels announcing road works on the Rimutakas near the top. The funny thing is that they are announcing it's gonna take two years The road gets quite narrow close to the top.

Don't think I've ever seen a road works traffic warning sign announcing the duration of the project.

I'm assuming most people already know but I was surprised not to see any related posts so I decided to post one myself.

Yeah there are several threads where we've all had a bitch and a moan about it. So there are signs eh? Wonder if they'll actually do a countdown like they did for the millenium?

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

The sign is there to further depress an already bummed-out group of people who have been having far too much fun on that hill.

ummm sorry lads more like 2.5 to 3 yrs

and thats the second sign they have placed at the featherston side, as the first one got shot up.....

next week, the section with the concert blocks along the side of the road, will be under traffic control, so single lane, as we are starting cut in to the bank on southern side....

so take care please. road will get a sweep at night , but watch for small stones.

im working up there, so keep ya posted on goings on..

Given the way things go with roading projects, I'd say double that then add 50%.

    So 9 years really.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Then leave the yellows there AND drop the speed limit by 20%.
