gah, some little bastard ripped mine off the back of my bike....so i bought the holder from mt eden mtrbikes (i think), and a big washer and bolt+nut from mitre 10...the thing hasnt budged an inch (washer had to be really big tho coz they ripped a massive hole in the no plate when they nicked it... )

Maybe someone nicked mine too...although why would they?
There is a tear in the number plate, so maybe someone ripped it off!

VINZ have come to the rescue with another sticker and a holder too. Have to collect them tomorrow morning. Dallas at Colemans told me to go there 'cause they give them away

Drill a small hole through each nut/bolt and run wire from one to another, or to a fixed frame point.

Bloody Hell that sounds complex.
Not sure my technically incompetent mind can cope with that.

Fasten it securely, with washers behind the plate, and use self-locking nuts.
Oh yeah - and stop pulling wheelies: scraping your number plate along the road is a sure-fire way to rip the rego off.

Or fasten it to the side of bike somewhere,should still be their after the wheelie if done properly.

Thats a shame. there are plenty of scum in NZ who do that kind of stuff for some reason, usually to savethemselves a few bucks, they must live a very sad life.

Just to let you know that my rego is all sorted now. Got a replacement sticker and holder from VINZ at no charge - courtesy of advice from Sarge (thank you!) and it is now firmly bolted back onto Baby Bike.
Pissed myself laughing at the thought of me doing wheelies!

I dont attach the WOF to my bike, i have it lamenated and keep it in my wallet, only down side is that parking wardens can't see it but then again if they do ticket you just photocopy your WOF and write a letter to the council and you will be let off

As for the rego i dont really bother with that i just reckon the big WOF holders look hideous no matter where you put them
