    And when there were trams in Ponsonby not trolley buses (though the trolley buses were nice to ride in, but. The trams were blurdy uncomfortable, those hard wooden seats)
    And girder forks, and the red "break the glass" boxes on telegraph poles to summon the fire brigade. And steam ferries. And petroil and hand cranked petrol bowsers.

    THEY WERE TROLLEY BUSES IN PONSONBY , I REMEMBER THE DRIVER CHANGING THE POSITION OF THE ARM THAT CONTACTS THE WIRES OUTSIDE THE THREE LAMPS

    yeah, there were trolley buses in Ponsonby (and other places) But that was after the trams . The trolley buses replaced the trams after the War. You kiddies won't remember the trams .
