    What makes a motorcyclist?

This has probably been posted before but I couldn't find it in the search options.

After crashing my bike a number of years ago I haven't really ridden since. However if the conversation comes up I still call myself a motorcyclist.
So I'm curious to know what you guys think defines a true motorcyclist?

A Motorcyclist is someone who rides a motorbike, but does not stop after the first crash
Thats like calling yourself a plumber, but stopping after finding the first leek
A police man after arresting the first granny
A doctor aftr delivering the first baby.
Its something that you continue to do once you have learnt it.
If you stop doing it you are an Ex motorcyclist, Ex policeman, Ex Doctor,

Some would say intelligent design, others might say evolution. However with all the knuckle draggers riding harleys I don't think either of those ideas fit. Maybe its a combination of both?

What if the crash took your left leg off just above the knee, making it difficult to change gear?

Have you had a look at a Can-Am Spyder? You only need one good hoof for one of them.

then you get a bike that you can ride, and ride it, there is a link somewhere on this site to a rider who has no left leg or left arm and races his bike on the track in Australia. I have a buddy who rides with no left leg, there is a member on here who has but one arm.. so your point?

What have Can-am spiders got to do with the original thread?

    So, what makes a biker?

ATTITUDE TO LIFE! But I will not go into specifics!

Someone who enjoys riding motorcycles, is a motorcyclist.

It's quite a simple explanation, but is quite irrefutable.
