Bugger mate. Hope you heal up soon and look out for that hatch to find out where they live
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Seems to me that the image of low black car/driver is burned into your retinas. Hopefully you will come across them one day in circumstances where you can assist them to 'get theirs'
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

My mother was one of those people that never stopped when she saw a 'fresh' accident. It used to drive me insane. I'd scream at her to stop the car and go back to help, but she always said "someone else will help them".

NOw I make sure that I always stop to see if I can give a hand.

Sorry to hear about you're crash dude
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"

right mate, thats rotton luck! if you do find out who it was, im sure that there would be many kb members to rock up 2 his house and sit on the lawn, scaring the shit outa him. I know if i was a cager and had done a runner after knocking a bike, then 50 odd bikes turned up at my house... Id be shitting kittens!
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...

Yeah, I recall the guys that did stop and help out had mentioned they were in two minds as to stop and help me out, or chase after the hatch...pretty stoked they picked me off the tarmac as i was seeing pretty little stars and such, and probably would have skipped into oncoming traffic...

Read your road code everyone. Travelling faster than you can stop in the clear road you can see in front of you is against the law! Not that I'm unsympathetic mind.
    Insert witticism.

Lost my CBR that way and knacked my back.
Boss will limp for the rest of his life and smashed his wrist pretty badly.
Could be worse, mate lost his life when the car following swerved to miss the bike.
Glad that your OK, hope to see you out there soon!

Welcome CPB. Bugger about your accident, hope you're not in too bad a shape now.

Twice I've encountered people U-Turning in front of me. The first was a van and I ditched the bike as I didn't figure I would be able to stop in time on my wheels (wet road and not a lot of room, not particularly experienced and fearful of my front brake in those days)

Second was a car (dry road, good visibility, more experienced, no longer scared of the front brake) and I was able to brake in time - the screech of brakes scared the shit out of the twat and I made sure that my frank opinion of his parentage and personal sexual pursuits was even scarier.

It's not fun when people suddenly take up the whole road like that.
    Motorbike Camping for the win!

shit glad you're alive to talk about it.
I know what it's like, I've had a similar thing, ended up in the middle of the road, broken collarbone, rolling like mad to get to the safety of the gutter before getting splatted. I look up in time to see the car pulled over but by the time i get to my feet they'd vanished.
another one where an asshole turned across me & i did the superman breaking knee, forearm & finger & the asshole was actually driving on till his passengers persuaded him to turn around. many people simply do not care about anything but themselves.
    ..it's another red light nightmare..

Prat in a black car thing had a go at me , u turn in front of me , just this evening. coming up Anzac Ave, in the right hand lane of my side. He stopped. then just as I came up to him hung a U in front of me. Fortunately I'd slowed down, very suspicious I was. So I was able to flick into my left hand lane and go round him. Even had time to indicate

But what pissed me off no end, was that as I did all this, parked RIGHT beside me , was a cop car. Actually had to watch I didn't clip it with my swerve, must have passed his door with 12 inches to spare. Who ignored the whole thing.

Guess as no-one was speeding he didn't care (actually, think it may have been a she - only had time for a glance .)

And that was the Whale too. If you can't see a honking big white BMW bearing down on you , fluoro jacket, lights on, I sure it wuld be visible from the moon, then there's no hope at all for you.

It's a battle folks. Us versus the brain dead zombies. Just wish that sometimes the cops were on our side.

funny how everyone assumes it's your fault if you mention you were in an accident whilst riding...The last few weeks I've been met with no end of "oh, you were on a bike, well no sympathy", or "well I hope you learned your lesson"...i'm pretty quick to point out the full scenario...and the fact that some cage freak with brain fade had a considerable amount to do with my current appearance...and that yes, damn straight i'll be out as soon as I'm able!!!!...however, on a brighter note, the sling is now off except for public appearances, and sleeping (yeah i thrash like...) am able hold my can of whatever and/or wipe my ass with the correct hand...oh, such joy the simple things do bring!!!
Night, night, and keep it tidy out there!!!
