Hey, I think I saw you on Symonds St the other day - if that was you, you're certainly very visible. At first glance, I thought you were a copper!Originally Posted by Ixion

Had this happen many times over 37 years of riding. The only time I actually hit the cage, I was pillion on my own bike with a mate riding. I don't blame him to this day.The f**kwit in a van indicated left, pulled over and then did a u turn in front of us and we didn't quiet stop. Shortened the wheelbase of the bike by about 150 mm. After checking that my mate was ok, I did the only sensible thing. I opened the drivers door of the van, pulled the guy out and decked him. (Oh the satisfication.....)
Cheers, Rhino
Would have loved to have had a physical encounter of the smashing kind with the driver, if only they'd hung around long enough...nevermind, Karma is working...they'll get theirs...

have had reports in at work of a young chap driving a black hatch that rammed into the back of a car stopped at a pedestrian crossing, police happened to be about 30m away at the time...crikey, that sounds like karma to me...I just hope the person he rammed is ok, apparently ambulance was there, if this guy has injured someone else, he needs to go away...(of course it could well be a totally unrelated hatch being driven by a completely different gimp - highly likely).

I am a lovely girl... i wasn't ringing to rub it in...
What is jsut as bad, is when someone cuts you, you are onto the brakes as hard as the thing will pull up, and then they simply smile sheepishly and wave a sorry and expect that it makes it ok...even when they could have seen you coming a mile away...Nevermind they could have taken your life by being stupid...

Well it's been 9months or so now since my off...and as of yesterday have been given clearance to lift my arm above shoulder height, and go for toodles on my bike, as long as I don't get knocked off!! Woohooo!!!!
Well, almost woohoo, I'm now a fat bastard, struggling to breathe normally once I start typing fast...so they'll be very short stints on the bike.
Apparently the bone has knitted which means those 8 screws and plate have done their bit!! So now I've got a month or so of gentle dyna-band?? exercises, still no lifting...approx six months before they look at taking the screws and plates out, at which time I then have to wait for another 6 weeks for the screw holes to heal if I choose to have them removed...yep woohoo alright!!!
