do you think i should report the incident purely to bring it to the attention of the police OR should i file it for investigation which could possibly lead to prosecution and a court case againts her?
Leave as just a report
Put down for investigation possibly leading to prosecution?

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Well I guess it really depends.. If she was as close to you as you say (and I aint saying that what ya saying aint what ya saying!) But I would definately report the incident! Take it to the next level if you think she'd do it again. Thats the way I'd play it.
Trust me, it won't make ANY difference what you do. In instances where someone has been careless rather than deliberately dangerous I used to ask that it be brought to the driver's attention only. Several times the driving has been so dangerous that I have said I would be more than willing to appear in court (in one instance I even had another witness with me who said the same), but I have NEVER been called on. One time the guy was overtaking in the path of oncoming traffic on double yellow lines (peak hour - the other traffic was in both lanes of the oncoming passing lanes) and forcing other drivers off the road when he wanted to pull in again. I reported that incident in person about five minutes after it happened. About a month later I got a letter to say that the driver had been spoken to and no further action would be taken.Originally Posted by gareth_d
It's nice to think something will be done about this woman, but in reality the most she will get is a visit or a letter from the police, pointing out that her actions were potentially dangerous. I know of NO ONE who has ever been prosecuted or called on to appear in court from these reports.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
Leave it as a report. Wont be much use in court unless you have a witness ect. Plus, waste of time and money
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Once the complaint is official, you have little or no say in the result. Which will usually be "no further action".
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
