    IF he wasn't wearing a helmet, then I totally agree. The emergency services have a tough enough job as it is without having to deal with this sort of thing.

    Although at face value it seems harsh, I have to agree. Doesn't matter whether you're going for a long ride or just testing the bike up the street, always wear your helmet.

    OK that's a little different. It's not like he went for a fang on the open road without his helmet. Poor bugger, it just goes to show why you need to wear the things.

    I wonder if this was a "proper" motorbike, or a minibike. The press is often confused (sometimes I am too). Just cos minibike users dont often wear lids

    Lets becareful out there people.

    Was out at Muriwai on sunday. Saw an idiot family that let their 12 year old kid ride a 50cc scooter with no gear and helmet on the beach. The kid would have been doing at least 50km on the beach. This idoit was not only endangering himself but also the people walking on the beach.
