    So a BMW F650 isn't a bike ? Or, in earlier days, the Ariel Arrow/Leader ?

In fact, the position of the fuel tank on motorcycles is absurd. No engineer with any sense should think of putting something that weighs as much as a full petrol tank AND VARIES IN WEIGHT *AND* IN CENTRE OF MASS so high up. The fuel tank on any sensibly designed bike will be placed low down, in the centre of the bike. The only reason that it is where it is is because motorcyclists, by and large, are an extremely conservative bunch of people , who value fashion and appearance over good engineering.

And yes, it makes me feel like I've got a big dick when I wear it. A biker one piece racing suit... jeezus, you wouldn't catch me dead in one, but then - whatever your into. I wouldn't be bitching at someone just because they wanted to wear a swanky one peice leather suit - mind you last time I saw someone out in one I think it was at the Sleeze Ball, 1998 Sydney Gay Mardi Gras... (actually it might have been latex - not a lot of protection against asphalt) now, don't ask why I was there. Girlfriend dragged me along - honest.

Shit your one to talk...sit there telling us we look silly in race suits....and your riding around on a scooter....Ha hahahahahahahahahahaha....scooter...lmao...he he he...lol....ha ha ha..

Anyway...sports bike riding is all about saftey...and because sports bikes can go over 70kmph it pays to wear the best saftey gear you can afford...

No all my scooter are red come to think of it.....
My scooter is faster than most 250cc motorbikes of the mark and till about 100 maby a bit less a good lambretta will be faster than any stock non 2stroke 250cc motorbike, off the mark and till about 100mp/hr+

I find that very very hard to believe. You are telling me that your bike will beat mine to 100?

Texmo, so your scooter will do a 14 sec quarter. Do 0-100 in 5.2 secs and manage to beat other 250's? So surely then, with some of the lagging bikes you should say you could beat 400's and a couple of 600's to 100kph as well.

mine will/should do under 16seconds, a good ts1 should do them in 13seconds, but these are old technology, new autos have 50hp at the wheel and weight 40kgs and are extreemly fast... none in new zealand though, but poomans should go quite well

I know he is, I have absolutly no time for fuckwits that want to pull the piss out of me (As he did in another thread) but I will call him a liar for making outrageous claims that he can beat 250's on his scooter, yet when challenged he beats around the bush about it. There is cowardice afoot!

So explain to me what 250's you will beat? So not RR's or 2 strokes?

What about a FZR or a ZXR or a ZZR?
