Well I wont beat an rr because they are very fast for a 250cc motorbike and I cant see my bike beating a aprillia rs250 or a nsr250

Im not 100% sure on what JSG has, but what I can suggest is that you research your facts VERY well before making claims that you can beat 250's. Now, what sort of 250's are you talking about????

A cbr250, standard issuse. Thats the bike I have seen getting beaten 5 out of 5 passes by a ts1, and by quite a bit too.
I have ridden a few 250cc motorbikes and a lot of scooters you have never ridden a fast scooter...

Ok, so you have seen one get beaten. Answer the question, you said YOUR bike would beat 250's, I want to know what 250's and where you get these claims from?

well the fact that My scooter has low gearing a 10'' wheel 20something HP and weights all of 70kgs. I am assuming this would be enough to beat a 250cc motorbike.

Well, I don't know much about scooters, at all. But a google indicates that they are a 225 two smoker engine , and can be tweaked quite heavily. Quite a good engine spec , too - nikasil bores, rotax valves etc . And a breathed on two smoker can be a fairly potent beast.

Various apparently reputable sources are quoting figures of 25 - 30bhp for tuned road machines, upper thirties for "racing" (dunno how long they'd hang together, but I guess that can be said for any race tune - racing scooters sounds a bit like the horse dancing - but people do it)

Those figures don't seem unrealistic for a tuned two stroke 225cc.

And at 30bhp, that would easily see off the commuter 250s (GN250 CB250R EL250 SR250), probably the touring twin cylinder ones (GSX, GPX, ZZR maybe), and give the sporty but non race replica jobs (SRX250 CB250R ZZR250) a good run for their money, depending on gearing and weight .

The race replicas (ZXR, GSXR, CBRRR) should toast it (though once again, depending on gearing and weight the scooter might hold its own for a bit).

The two smokers, NSR TZR RGV , no contest.

Which is about what Mr Texmo is saying, I think. To be sure, braking and cornering may be quite another matter , I have no idea how scooters stack up there.

End of the day , it's the motor that counts for speed (and weight and air resistance of course). 30 bhp is 30 bhp whether it's in a scooter or a race replica.

Assumptions are the mother of all Fuck-ups Texmo. So with absolutly no evidence to back up your claim of beating most 250's, you must live in a really colourful world. What you suggest should give most of us grounds to make outrageous claims such as my CBR250 should beat most 600's. I dont know what ones but it shoul because of my wheelbase and less weight than them. Bullshit, I can't make a claim like that because I am not stupid enough to and I KNOW my facts would be wrong.

Sorry for the thread hijacking cowpoo's, but Texmo needed to know where he should sit and shut up.

That is true Ixion. But what I was trying to get from Texmo was what bikes is his scooter faster than. He did say HIS scooter is faster than MOST 250's.

Thanks again Ixion, A 30bhp scooter that you are talking about is something like the scot dixons small frame ziri, I am talking ts1's here, worb 5 has a street leagal lambretta sprinter/race bike thats very fast but isnt the fastest thing out there by a long margin click here and read about it, 43bhp and 160km/hr top speed, i am useing this bike as an example because its HP and top speed is proven on dyno for all to see you cant say that your cbr250rr has 43bhp, and you cant say it wieghts 85kg and all this on a 10" wheel, you have extreme accelleration very fast bike.

Or take the Worb5 Ziri ( my bike is a fabrizi very simliar Ziri but newer technology ) 27HP, My bike aint that much but if I spent a few grand it would be.
At the end of the day my scooter will be road leagal, will have cost me less than $3000 and will be a daily rider with 20hp

Ok I have backed up most shit when I get a dyno print out ( which will happen in a month when I get my dyno setup on the dyno ) I will post it show you how much HP my bike has at the rear wheel.

Its Lock Stock and 2 Smoking barrels that comes from Texmo. But the original saying is "Mother of all Fuck-ups".

Mate, my bike makes 47hp at the rear and tops out at 200kph. But I dont brag because its a long way from anyone else.

And I wasn't after what a TS1 could beat. You made the claim that YOUR scooter was faster than MOST 250's. Only when challenged, you beat around the bush and started telling me that yes other bikes will beat a 250. I wasn't after that Texmo and as cowpoos so rightly said.

    You are full of shit.

No I am not full of shit my bike would be very capable of beating most 250cc fourstroke motorbikes, I know this for a fact. Right now it cant though as the casings are split. I dont have solid proof though, So I am showing you worb5's ziri small frame which is what my bike is a fabrizi is slightly diffrent though it has a bigger exhaust port, bigger transfers and most fins for better cooling meaning I can run my bike leaner without it seizing, I have put a lot of work into my bike and is by no means finnished I am going to change to reed valve which requires 12hours of grinding, rebore my bike to 145 change the piston put a 34ml carb on it an hp4 fly wheel and variatronic ignition. I love scooter and If I had to explain why you wouldnt understand anyway, I know my bike is faster than your run of the mill 250cc motorbike. But I couldnt care less All I have been doing in my last posts is trying to say how much faster my bike is than you guys think, now though I have come to the point where I dont give two fucks go on think scooter are slow ugly and gay I dont care at the end of the day I love my bikes and I love saying I build this enigine from scratch I painted this bike I made the dics brake, I can even say I am one of two people in the southern hemisphere with a fabrizi kit or even I am one of 15 people who race scootersin new Zealand. You go back join your millions of buddys who all have the same bike the same colour becasue at the end of the day my scooter is uniuqe its diffrent and its me my soul is in my bike and I love it.
