Don't know of too many people dying in a burglary. (And too many of these are dopey ones who leave everything unlocked...) Only the stupid ones die of drugs (natures way of weeding out the ...) and assaults, well, yeah, some turn their toes up after that...but it never ceases to amaze me how no one really gives a toss about 400 to 500 people each year that get killed on roads. If we had a homicide rate like that, what would be said???? Yeah, some die because they're pissed/drugged, yeah, some speed and do stupid stuff too...come pick up the pieces some time and then tell mums and dads their boy/girl won't ever be coming home, ever... The odd ticket is a better option really....

Hmm, depends what constitutes 110kph and "empty motorway"

Down here it is 120kph and empty motorway -IF WE HAD A MOTORWAY.

Being an ex cop from waaaay back it sounds as though they have no concrete evidence. The likelyhood is that they have had a complaint from a member of the public and a trying it on in the hope that you will hang your self. Don't admit anything, make them so the work!

Question.. wife and I went up to palmerston for coffee (never again) but while we were there poking about three guys came, swapped bikes, turned around, went away for 40 minutes, and then came back, swapped bikes... talked... repeated it again.

You can't say "well it was one of us but I'm not sure who" can you?

I have had one of those letters handed to me in Blenheim. The even threatened to give me the $10000 fine there and then. Believe me, its no real joke. Just supply the info and argue the finer points later.
