Is the petrol price drop a coincidence?

Those botcott things dont work, the last time i heard of one going around was about 3 months ago and since then the price has gone up like another 20c.

I think the drop in price is due to the amount of public anger, it's got to the point where we want any price drop in oil to be reflected at the pump, and it's about bloody time.

not sure what the reason was..but both myself and my customers are relived to see it dropping. hopefully it will keep going.

I'm aware of them doing it first in the past. I'm also aware of BP have done the 10 cents a litre, along with Shell on their own backs. All this noise about petrol, those who make the most noise should really start walking. Me, I see no choice but to pay the price and use the cage less. Bike however is a different story

Yep, thats how I feel too. All this kicking and fussing about fuel prices and how they should go down ect. There is FA I can do about it so I shut up and pay the nice person behind the counter.

Oh yea, to those that abuse the counter staff (Such is my other half) about the price of petrol, they have absolutly no control over it, so quit bitching to them!

I like going in to pay , and doing a (not nasty) bitch to whoever else is there (or sometimes the attendant if they look suitable) about "how much it costs now to fill the tank for a weeks commuting, compared to a few months ago. Shocking dear now". They always agree of course, then I add "was costing me eleven dollars and odd a while back, now it's gone through the roof. Over fifteen dollars today, to cover the week, ridiculous izzn it?". And watch their faces. This often brings a response something along the lines of "hell is that all it costs you on the bike , then?". And I see the gears going round and the mental calculator come out. So I can do some proselytising .

See, you are one of the good sorts, Im talking about the guys and gals from the funny farm who imply that the counter staff have something to do with the price hikes

In some ways I think that high peterol prices are not all that bad...

My reasons are:
1) It forces people to be more frugal in their use of peterol (ie. walk to shops instead of take car. Which in the long term is

2) Better for the environment (less emissions correlates highly with a slower rise in pollution levels)

3) I cannot see a need for all vehicles that have stupidly large engines and yet are frequently used to run around town in (ie. SUVs/4wds). These people should pay a premium to own and run their gas guzzling slugs (fuck them). Since fuel prices are so high I hope that they will use them less.

In many ways my reasoning is flawed.

But fuck it.

Missus works for BP Pahiatua and has noticed less vehicles there. Pretty hard when you only have Mobil or BP.
