All i can say is to stay with Jap brands!
That way you have service backup and most of all.. PARTS that are availible!

Friends dont let friends ride Hyosungs
Good point, except they're new so I wouldn't expect any problems and from what I've read they have quite a good reputation. I'm in the early stages of looking though, so am absorbin well intended advice from anyone. Thanks![]()

Their minibikes seem to be well received. Whilst true that they are unlikely to have the quality of the Japs, then again they're a heck of a lot cheaper. You could almost buy two Lifans for the price of a Honda. And as often as not , if you want parts for a Jap bike you have to wait while they get them in from Japan anyway . Usually via outer Mongolia, with a layover on the Moon. So the Chinese may not be much worse.
Interestingly, these are exactly the same arguemnts that people used to put forward AGAINSt buying Jap bikes (in favour of British) when I was young. Nothing new under the sun.

they are cheap, but you pay for what you get...
i reckon give lifan a few years yet...
Hyosung would be a better cheap option, they have a fairly decent 250 in the GT250 comet, the GT650R apparently cleaned up the sv650's in the formula three this year, they even look ok, and for 9995$ its a cheap 650 V twin.

Have you taken your bike over any sweet jumps?
Hyosung also do a cruiser style 250. Same v-twin as the comet (27.5HP). Nice motor. I have also seen the new 650 Cruiser style bike that they have...Im not a cruiser type but it looks fairly impressive. *ahem* TSS.Originally Posted by Mattyc
