Bollocks. There's no defence to hitting a stationary vehicle.

Just a thought but is it worth going to the store manager and asking them if they have security cameras in the carpark, and if so were any pointing in your direction that might have caught the incident, and potentially a number plate if it was knocked.
Probably won't have any joy, but might be worth a look.

Obviously i've been watching to much LAW & ORDER

    Bad luck though.

Hope the bike is better soon. At least GN's are cheap to fix. Ask matthewt what a brake lever for an MV Agusta costs and consider yourself lucky you don't own a fragile piece of Italian machinery.
Weeeeell, at CD Upper Hutt, if you head out toward the hill-end of the car park, there's a bunch of secluded parks that noone ever goes in. And it's close to the entrance and whatnot. Well that's what I see from the employee's cafeteria, anyway..

While on the topic of interferring with parked bikes, I had parked mine in a carpark for training on Sunday and clipped the helmet on the holder (as I wasn't far away) and some little tosser put his bloddy rubbish in it (friggen apple core and paper bag) The cheek!!
