Study the pix carefully - note the clutch pulled in just before he does the "death surf on the inside".

    Poor guy nothing!
He had heaps of lean left, he pulled in the clutch (like that's going to help it lean!) and the idiot was dressed for impressing his mates at the gay bar, not for asphalt surfing!

That phenomenum on a cruiser is called "tripoding". Very freaky it is too...

I suspect Mr Joe Cool Harley rider will wear more than his underwear in future when he goes riding -- once the skin grafts take.

He wouldn't have needed grafts if he'd just hung on. No way that thing was going to fall over. Those crash bars are phenomenal.

in that first photo, he was doing it! he was doing the wrong-way-Harley-torso-lean!

why oh why do they do that? never seen anyone on any other brand of crusier do it. are they trying to move their bodyweight toward the outside of the corner so that they can lean the bike further for the same corner speed? is there some special drug dispensed from a hidden syringe in HD seats that only comes out when you go around a corner slow but with the bike leaned far over?

silly harley riders. my mind is boggled.

Yeah but the friction coefficiency of the zorst is a little less than a tyre V.

Why did he fall off? The bike was still stable. He couldn't lean anymore, which might have meant running off the road, but there was nothing that should have tipped him off?

Older bikes used to do a similar thing on the silencers.

My thoughts too, unless there was an oncoming vehicle he could have run wide and straightened up a bit - the thing is, WHY did he leap off????

Ouch, pity the guy didn't have a sprotbike, he would have made that corner then.
