Its either you have, or you will.
    No big deal.

Um, this prompts me to ask a question.

I've never dropped a bike forgetting to put the side stand down. (dropped 'em on cambers doing the "foot out , oh shit where's the ground gone" thing, and taking them off side and centre stand, and various other ways. Just not forgetting to put the side stand down).

That's because I always stop, put foot down, climb off bike, stand beside it holding the bike, THEN put the stand out and lean the bike onto it. Always have. Hard to forget the stand in this method, cos you're standing beside the bike, holding it and very aware of the weight.

But I've seen other people put the side stand out while still sitting on the bike. then lean the bike onto the stand, still sitting on it , THEN get off.

    Am I unusual ?

the only time my SV650 has ever been other than vertical was when I kicked the stand when sitting on the bike, and it went to vertical but didnt over center.... stepped off the bike and took two steps and CRASH behind me as it tipped over. Crap.

outside work to so as to maximise the embarrassment factor.

new clutch lever, handle bars, indicator and gark in the GIVI fairing and handlebar weight. LUCKILY it didnt ding the tank or tailpeice.

curse these short legs and high seats.

SV650 for sale by the way

Which reminds me, Why doesn't somebody ask Yungatart about how she used to park her bike?
