    Relicense your bike online

    http://www.ltsatransact.govt.nz/

Just re-registered the bike thru that site. Took about 2 mins and needed my credit card details, and I had my new rego tag in the mail 3 days later! Much better than visiting the post shop. I suggest everyone with a credit card gives it a go when they need to renew their rego.

My husband works for NZ Post so I give him the money and he does it for me - no queuing so just as convenient for me! Good idea being able to do it online though, much quicker for most people.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Yup I did a change of ownership using this site also. Went OK for me, but the seller lives in the country and it took a while to make it understand that where he lives exists. Overall it worked OK.

Yup. Did my rego on-line last month. Got my tag in 3 days ...about as long as I seemed to wait for in the queue to get served at the AA. Sweet!

So what's the story if your bike has no warrant? Will the rego online still go through?

I would doubt it, all the online systems "talk" to each other - try relicensing a bike at the Post Office or AA without a rego and you won't get anywhere, so this site wouldn't be any different.

My warrent and reg expire at the same time. Still have to go into vinz. But you can transfer ownership online as well apparently - just both parties I think need a valid credit card (or it may only be the buyer).

    Just the buyer.
