Um, given that two smokers don't have bugger all engine braking , is a slipper clutch on any two smoker going to do much? Not saying it won't just questioning? On a 1000cc Vtwin, yeah. On a 200cc two stroke? Dunno

oh so you ride the clutch all the time?

simple answer - grow some balls, your young and dumb. clutches are for first gear only esp in buckets I mean shit ...

Wait till you get on a bike that REALLY does have some power, your going to be scared shitless if you think a DR is the bizzo.

Nah I know I was joking around all I want a clutch to ride is out of the bends to keep the revs up for the outer corner speed thats all. I was joking about the DR it is slow as but its just a hack bike for out the lake for abit of fun, And the RS125's have more than abit of power but yeah I know im not going to 600s until I am constently in the 1;16s at Manfield and am able to pick a 600 up when it lies on its side. Nah but on two strokes its all about revs on four strokes you got the torque to pull you out the bend the 2 strokes die lol

why dont you just change down, its what everyone else does :|

Thats why bikes have gears, to keep in the torque - if it had shitloads of torque we would have one gear get it? simple done.

Yeah I know but I have standered pipe and no baffle so I have no back pressure and my bike runs like a piece of shit at times and needs to be ridden to get up the hill at Kaitoke im serious but the way the clutch is on it it wont ride properly and I want it to launch of the line perfect if I do a race start it hits false nuetrals etc when riding the clutch

NAh, Riding a bike is all about knowing your rev range, having the skils to keep the bike in iits torque range no matter what speed you are doing. Ride a bike, get to know what gear you need to be in at what speed and in what situation. If you have good clutch control and know your bike a sliper clutch is really serpurfluous(SP?)

I thought that the Slipper clutch was for down changes????? IE you don't lock up the rear on a high comp bike when you change down at high revs, how would that affect the off the line start and out of corner revs??

yea that is what they are for, hence why they come on faster street bikes.

some can be modded to provide more slip but nothing that will help you in corners, unless you rely on engine braking, and dont want to lock the rear - but again on a 2smoke what is the point?

Its a wank thing, I am sure.

I am 21 years old and a slipper is not something I would brag about having, I feel it has its places but would be very ashamed to have it on a 125 2 smoker!! So I don't think age come into it!!
