it ain't just the cages from the front or sides watch your ass!

Had this pic for a while it sort of points out the obvious but many a time unlucky bikers have been caught like this and come off much worse!

Whoever this was they were bloody lucky!

A few years ago I was stopped at a stop sign, when a car hit me from the rear and shunted me into the intersection. Fortunately there wasn't a car coming through at the time. The guy was most apologetic and paid for my broken tail light. I was lucky that was all that was broken.

You got it. You need to know as much about what is behind you as you do about the front. Remember you can stop faster than a cage and it will simply run you over. I saw a car hit the back of a truck. No big deal but I was going to pass the car and drop in behind the truck coming up to an intersection. Why didn't I pass the car? No idea. decided to wait. It was very wet. When your number is up I think it is up.

Had a similar minor shunt (no damage) from a car a while back..... his excuse was that his aircon came on......

Whenever I have to stop, the first thing I do is look in the mirrors and see how close the vehicle behind is (before even touching the brakes.) If I consider that they are too close, given the road conditions etc, I immediately start plotting my escape routes (such as lane splitting beside the vehicle in front and let him take the impact.)

    No, not funny.

I have lost count of the number of times that my silly habit of stopping on amber and red lights has resulted in a dildo in a cage attempting to sodomise my exhaust. I regularly have to jump forward into the intersection or between the traffic lanes to give the tossers time to stop. Absurd thing is *I* stopped- *you* had my stopping time and distance *plus* the distnce between us. So why can't you stop. The crowning insult however is when the throwback actully has the nerve to sit and HONK - because I I don't run the amber light ! GRRRRR.

You were lucky that he was apologetic. Cagers seem to deny responsibility for their actions more often than not

Yeah I think this is usually the reason that they just keep going after knocking you off or forcing you off the road. I'm a cage driver too, but there are too many tards on the road. I'd name ethnicity and sex but there's too much PC shite going round at the moment. So I can't tell you who to watch out for.
