I always try to give other bikers a friendly nod. And mostly they do the same. Yes it's nice to see the camaraderie.

But guys please use your common sense. If you see that a biker is a L-Plate rider (like me). Take it easy and give him as much room as you can. Only play with people not wearing L-Plates.

Coming back from Auck on Sun was shitty, all HD's and none of them wankers waved.

I really did appreciate the bloody awesome rider on the Goldwing stretching that arm right out to wave as if to grab my arm. Mint guesture. The other half sure as hell enjoyed that (felt the squeeze of them nutcracker thighs as she got excited )

I love motorcycling. Love having the companion on the back.

Always interested to see what others are riding, and acknowledging others through waving or nodding. Don't usually try and keep up as I'm a pretty conservative rider.

Back around christmas time I was riding out to Tauranga to spend christmas with my family and i stoped to let my sister and her bf catch up. while i was stopped another biker pulled up and i started talking to him. turns out he was waiting for another biker and was goin in the same direction as me. If the guys friend had showed up a few seconds earlier i probably would have riddeen the rest of the way with them just for the enjoyment of riding with other bikers. (I've haven't done a group ride yet ) but my my sister rolled by so i rode off to pass her again and as i looked back i saw the guys friend show up. I would have much preferd to ride with them.

I guess it's only natural being in to bikes to like seeing another bike and feeling a sense of comradery (spelling?). Coming home from work one day I followed a magnificently restored Kwaka waterbottle (550) to near my place and just enjoyed looking at it. The finish and paintwork were just awesome.
Another time I followed a pair of Kwaka ZXR750's. I couldn't keep up for long, but enjoyed seeing their awesome power when they both shot off together.

Hell, I get excited when I see bikes whether I'm on the bike, in the car or walking down the street! I have been known to walk into things while drooling at bikes going past - particularly sports bikes.

I always wave when I see bikes, whether I'm riding or pillioning, and I love getting a wave back. When I see a bike up ahead, I'll see if I can catch and pass it, but I don't do this just for the sake of it - if they are going slower than me, then I will definitely leave them behind but I'm more interested in seeing what they are riding!

I try and wave as I go past too, and if I see a bike coming up fast behind me, I always try and move over to give them space to pass. Be nice if they acknowledged this, but few do!

I wave if I go past a rider who is stopped somewhere too (and we stop if they are in the middle of nowhere and look like they need a hand) and I love that feeling of being "one of them bikers"!

Hey Boris, I've been passed by those guys too! I used to live in Otaki and was heading home from Wellington one night when they passed me. They then slowed to about 90 so at the passing lane just south of Otaki I pulled out and passed them. Oh shit, wrong move, they then passed me REALLY close, one by one, and I thought I was a goner! Luckily that was the end of it, but my better half soon pointed out that taking on gang members while riding an RG150 was probably NOT a good idea!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Generaly do myself or nod. Most wave back. As with any group you get the odd rider that doesn't or can't.

I wave or nod at alomst every biker I pass, and If another biker catches me, or I see one up ahead, i try to stick with them...but it is hard if they are riding a thou and me on my little 250cc! I really have to work it to even stay close...so i eventually give up.

Guys on tourers or cruisers need to chill out and get some road manners...they never do anything back...even the fingers would be better than nothing!

I wave to everything on less than 4 wheels. Scooters through to Harleys . Provided I see them in time and I'm not right in the middle of a corner or something. Then it's maybe a nod

Oddly Li'l Ratty usually gets a wave or a nod back from cruisers, even Harleys. No idea why, they must just be taken with his sheer cheekiness. Had another one this morning, from some dude with a patch.

Cruisers steadfastly ignore the Whale of course. Oddly, so do most other BMW riders. Maybe I need to wave in german.
