good service

quite often on here you seem to hear about the raw deals and bad service people get , well i had my bike booked in for its 12,000k service on friday and got nothing but great service from the guys down in the service department at red baron. They gave me a loan bike for the day (honda bros 650) not quite what i am accustomed to but still good to have it. And at about 3pm my bike was ready to be picked up ,all seviced and with a WOF for another 12 months

I seem to hear mixed reviews about different places on this site. I decide to reserve my judgement and compliments until I see that the place in question provides good quality service time and time again.

my bike is still under factory warranty so i have to get it serviced as per the manual , which is 1000k , 6000k , 12000 , and so on , but i do change the oil in between services too , its only $50 give or take to keep the slippery black stuff in good shape

EVERY 6000 K`S BUT MORE OFTEN IN SERVERE SERVICE

I was told 3,000 as im in town all the time. I am also after a way to change my fan to manual so I can turn it on when I want not when the bike wants as it gets really hot in town and fan dont kick in....

yeah i did that to an old suzuki impulse i had many years ago doing courier work around town , wired up the fan so i could manually turn it on, worked a treat

Can you not get a solenoid that kicks in at a lower temperature? Would take the guesswork out of the equation.

dunnno thats a pretty good idea though, i might look into it, thats definitly better than going for a long ride chasing someone reving the tits off your bike and forgettting to switch your fan on...

Surely you would put the manual switch in parallel with the existing thermoswitch? So the fan comes on when , either , it reaches temperature, or, you turn the switch on.
