Fuck warning drink drivers about the blitz, nail the fuckers to the wall. Kind of like saying, 'hey all you drink drivers, stay off the roads this weekend or you'll get caught'.

Well, if all the plod are busy manning drink drive stopping thingies (which I don't really care about one way or the other), they can't be elsewhere.

And if they're being rostered in for weekend duties on the booze teams, they presumably will be given time off during the week (since the cops can't afford overtime pay).

So that means less plod running around trying to catch me. Which is good. So I'm all in favour of this. A cop stuck at a check point is a harmless cop. A cop prowling around loose is a dangerous cop.

Well we didn't see any checkpoints around 12.00 Sat night, it seems they were all out around 3.00AM.
We just bought a Sobercheck breath tester and I blew 600, so it was dial a driver time anyway. But I felt a lot more pissed than that reading would indicate.
Isn't it getting really boring though, the Police are always disappointed in the number of positive tests. For God's sake, it was only 1.2% of the 9000 tested. Why don't they say how pleased they are with the 8892 people who weren't pissed.

.... because nobody has explained to them the power of positive reinforcement? .............. or because they get off on busting drunk-drivers and so wish to ensure a continuing supply? ............dunno

Uhhh, so your perfectly ok with over 100 people caught driving around drunk? Think the police should just look at that and think "hey, we've got our message across, lets give ourselves a pat on the back. Hell, lets give everybody a pat on the back."

Driving sober isnt something people deserve to be congratulated for. Its just what your supposed to do

Well that was my fault - you know its been a good night when your guests are too pissed to driver and that little breath tester removes all doubt. Bloody hell I was still a bit wobbly the next morning
